Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 16, 2026

Effective Date

These Terms of Service are effective as of July 16, 2026. They govern your use of Receipt Vault (the “App”).

Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Service Description

The App helps you scan receipts, organize purchase records, search your vault, track products and warranties, set local reminders, and export data you request.

Features may evolve over time. We may add, change, or remove functionality to improve reliability, security, or usefulness.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, and any account used with the App.

You agree to use the App only for lawful personal or business recordkeeping and to comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the App, attempt to disrupt its operation, reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, or use it to store or transmit unlawful content.

You may not use automated means to abuse sync, export, or authentication features in a way that harms the service or other users.

Data Accuracy

OCR suggestions and parsed fields are convenience aids and may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting information before relying on it for returns, taxes, warranties, insurance, or other decisions.

We do not guarantee that any receipt, product, or warranty record in the App matches the original merchant or manufacturer record.

Warranty Reminders

Warranty reminders are optional convenience notifications based on dates and settings you provide. They are not legal, tax, insurance, or coverage advice.

Always verify warranty terms, coverage periods, and claim requirements with the retailer or manufacturer. Missing a reminder does not create liability for us.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the App.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Termination and Changes

You may stop using the App at any time. If you created an account, you may permanently delete it in Settings → Delete account. You may also delete local data or sign out of account features as available in Settings.

We may update these Terms by revising the effective date and posting the updated Terms in the App and on this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may suspend or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons.
